Outdoor Research
Outdoor Research creates innovative, functional outdoor gear and clothing for hiking, climbing, skiing, and paddling. As the in-house design lead, I revamped the visual storytelling across all of the brands touchpoints, both internally and externally.
The old packaging felt dated and didn't elevate emerging product innovations and new categories. The updated system uses fresh, new photography and messaging to clarify intended use and highlights key product features.
The visual language established in the packaging was used throughout other brand touch points such as trade show booth graphics, business cards and sales workbooks.
The workbooks were redesigned to be a more useful and effective tool for the sales team. Like the packaging, it uses beautiful photography and clear messaging to underscore the brand.
No longer just a sales tool, the book also integrates content from various marketing campaigns and serves as an internal reference point for the brand, like a coffee table book full of cool shit.
The Classic Lines direct-to-consumer catalog follows the adventures and exploits of OR athletes skiing world-class mountains around the world. Featuring anecdotes from the trips, the catalog connects OR fans with the people who battle-tested the gear they're shopping for.
